10/97 – 10/99 Group Marketing & Sales Director – Global Sales

9/97 – 10/97 Group Consultant

Employed by this leading Dutch based transportation software and consulting company, I was originally asked to undertake a detailed analysis of the US transportation market, which aimed at identifying key sales accounts for various range of ORACLE / GUI – based transportation software products which PAI were looking to develop. • E. Commerce and Web Based tracking and tracing
  • Revenue Management Communication & EDI

From this report, I was requested to establish high-level sales and marketing sessions with a number of core accounts. Interviews and system discussions were established and PAI was able to identify specific functional requirements that would allow their products to be migrated to the US market place.

The PAI group relocated me back to Europe to take up the role of Group Marketing & Sales Director. In this role, I was responsible for the Global activities, running and managing the group's consulting, sales and VAR networks. Responsibilities included:

  • Identifying key business opportunities for acquisitions and mergers to achieve greater market share. Responsible for "opening doors" and holding high level talks with CEO / Presidents – Company Owners in order to develop potential acquisitions.
  • I was also instrumental in helping to secure VC funding for PAI. The overall business development plan was a major factor in convincing the Investors that the PAI group had a secure future in software development and strategic marketing.

Relocated back to the United States in late October 1999 – I was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer of PAI Inc. – the newly formed US arm of the Dutch software company. Instrumental in building market share for the company and in developing links with partners and JV's.

I left PAI as they required me to relocate me back to Europe (Netherlands) on a full-time basis to rejoin the Senior Management team For a number of personal and family reasons, I decided not to relocate back to Europe.
